Snow Day

When we woke up this morning it was beginning to snow and it hasn't stopped yet. By the time Lillie and Elliott woke up from their morning naps there was plenty on the ground for us to go out and play. I got everyone bundled up and we headed out. All 3 kids were crying at some point in the getting ready process, which made me wonder if it was all worth it or not. I'm going to say it was worth it and we had fun, but I'm in no hurry to do it again!

Jack playing with his truck in the snow. A truck of some kind always goes outside with us.
Lillie and Elliott hanging out in the stroller for a little while.

Jack attempting a snow angel. I showed him how to do it with one side of his body. Apparently he thought you only moved one side and not the other.
Jack's snow angel. Can you tell? Only one sided!
Throwing a snowball at Mommy!
Elliott's first time in the snow.
Lillie's first time in the snow.

Lillie and Elliott don't have snow boots. Maybe next year, no real need this season. So once I put their socks on I put plastic baggies over their feet before putting their shoes on. It worked well for Elliott, his socks were dry. Lillie's still got wet.
I tried to get a picture of all 3 of them looking. I know, I know, wishful thinking.

At this point they just decided to crawl around in the snow.
Elliott played with the red ball.
Lillie and Elliott were too wet to put back in the stroller. I opened the door to come in and made them crawl to the elevator and Jack rode his bike in. I was in charge of getting the stroller and toys in.
This is the pile outside our apartment door.
I think they felt free once they were out of all their layers.
Jack dethawing.
This is what the courtyard looked like after we were finished!
"Now this is our idea of a good time."

This afternoon Freddy T. came home to play with Jack outside.

Love it!!! These are great!!! Glad Jack got to build a real snow man. Tell Jack Aunt Di loves his snowman. I will post a picture of our snowman on FB later. Check it out and show him. Gotta get that snowsuit to NYC for Jack.

so cute. I noticed in the video when you told Jack not to throw the snowball at Elliott, looked as if he was gonna throw one at Lillie next. lol too funny. Glad Jack & Freddy were able to build the snowman. It is so cold here too. My sister in MD has over 40 inches of snow. It is unbelievable. Stay safe and warm. The pictures are adorable. Dethawing haha, twins are cute... which one has the curls? i cant tell them apart from the back in that one picture. interesting weather cover for the stroller! wow what will they come up with next for babies! :) have a great day.

How brave you are! Love the ski mask on Jack, and I LOVE the diaper pictures! They are so cute! Piper's still small enough that I can use her as my excuse not to have to get out in it...Charlie's got to talk his daddy into it if he's gonna get out in the snow!!

so cute! what fun!!! Jonah didn't last very long in the snow. He seemed much happier inside... watching the snow through the window!

I wish I could have been there to play in the snow with them! Looks like you had fun even though I'm sure it was a task to get them all ready to go...Hope you are staying warm!
