Look How They've Changed

We had our second ultra sound today. It still amazes me what a difference 6 weeks can make with the looks of a growing baby. Everything checked out good. They are measuring 12 weeks 3 days, which is right on target and they are the same size. They are quite the movers! Amazing to see two little ones side by side in my belly. Hopefully next time we'll find out the sex. Between now and then I look forward to feeling those first movements!

Susan,
I can't believe how much bigger the babies are in this pic! They look like they are about the same size too....Can't wait to find out if I can buy something that is pink (or blue) - just hoping for at least one little "pink" one in there.:) Glad the appointment went well.

That's great! I can't believe how different and big they look now! Glad everyone's doing well!

(Am I correct in that they are in separate sacs? So...does that mean fraternal twins?)

Glenna,

I had assumed they were fraternal since it looked like it in our first ultra sound, but the tech today said it's too early to tell. So either she forgot what they looked like earlier, or I have a misunderstanding of how you tell from an ultra sound. I need to do some research on it. I'll let everyone know when we have a definate answer.

susan,
hi there! i saw the link to your family blog and had to check it out! i'm an avid blogger too, so i love to read 'em!
anyway, i love the posts. look at those two babies in your belly! as if God creating ONE wasn't enough you get to experience the MIRACLE of life twice inside you! crazy cool!
the only consolation i have for you is... at least you're not kate (from that show, john and kate plus eight!) :)
and i can also speak from experience going from one to three is quite the leap of faith!
take care,
carrie

the nj gang has decided y'all need to do another 'pole' and take guesses about the sex of the babies. :) so glad to hear everything is going well. miss you all!

From what I know different sacs doesn't always mean fraternal. With the girls they said the whole time they could be identical or fraternal.

I remember during my pregnancy asking college age twin girls if they were frat. or iden. & they said they didn't know. To know for sure you have to do DNA testing.
Since our girls look totally different, it's obvious they're frat.

I'm so excited for you to get to feel both babies moving it is amazing. Just so you know, I thought I would feel them early b/c they were twins, but I didn't feel them until like 21 weeks. So don't get to anxious. Of course I know now that with a 2nd pregnancy you do know more of what your waiting to feel and I did feel Peyton much earlier.

I've been way behind on checking blogs & found out today that you, Haley & Andrew Littleton as well as Laura & Ben Reed are expecting. There must be something in the water :)

Congratulations to you & Freddy T. on your little miracles (plural) & congrats to Jack on becoming a big brother.
