A Big Thanks and A Helpful Website

It has been fun to see who all is out there reading our blog. It gives me some accountability to keep it updated regularly. We've got some new pictures and I'll get them up early next week.

In the mean time I wanted to share with you a website I've recently discovered. My sister-in-law introduced me to it and after testing it for months she says it has changed her life. If you're like me you don't do a great job planning out menus for your families dinner meals. I have the desire, and I can come up with a menu, but it takes a lot of time to make sure you have all the ingredients, make a grocery list, and have a variety in your meals (that's the hardest part for me). You need to check out the link on the rightof this page to E-Mealz.com. This site is run by two pastors wives who are committed to families sitting down for dinner at least 5 nights a week. You do have to subscribe, its 15 dollars for 3 months (about 1.25 a week) and you can cancel your subscription anytime. You choose a meal plan that fits your family and a grocery store you prefer to shop at and each week you sign in, click on your subscription and print off a menu with cooking instructions and a grocery list for the store of your choice. They even estimate the cost for your families meals for the week (not including staples). It's only for dinner, your on your own for breakfast and lunch, but those tend to be the easy meals! My 8 year old nephew chose an e-mealz dinner over Chick-Fil-A family night for his school a few weeks ago. That said a lot about the meals to me! I've just started and FT will be away all next week, but the week after that we'll give it a try and I'll let you know what I think. Be sure to read the "How Does It Work" and "FAQ" section of the website, they are very helpful. If you do this already let us know what you think. I hope this is helpful and hopefully you will save a little money along the way... we can all use that right?

Very well put, Susan. You have had a great idea putting it on your blog so others can check it out, too. Diana

I took the time to check out the website and it looked really helpful. I have been planning out our meals 2 weeks at a time since Gracie started eating table foods. And whew...it is a chore! The best part to me was that they plan the meals around the store's sales! You can't beat 7 full meals on a $75 budget. Thanks for the tip...I'm going to try it. I'll let you know how it works for us. I'm looking forward to your feedback on it as well. I'll be praying for you while Freddy T is away. You & Jack are welcome to come over for a playdate! :)
